On September 8th, Towne Group experts will speak at the Maryland Nonprofits conference. Below is a summary of the sessions they will present:
Visual Approaches to Social Media
Terry Turner, Content Strategist/Managing Producer of Towne Group
In this session, Terry describes a program of successful approaches that can help organizations establish more resonant social media reputations by: adopting vivid visual storytelling techniques, appealing to their stakeholders’ emotional and aesthetic—rather than merely logical—faculties, and incorporating evocative thought leadership tactics into your social outreach.
Online Engagement Using Third Party Helper Apps
Kristy Cooper, Senior Media/Brand Strategist of Towne Group Inc.
Nonprofit organizations, particularly smaller ones, often struggle with the wide range of online techniques for engaging critical stakeholders. In this session, Kristy conducts a ‘cook’s tour’ of available 3rd party ‘helpers’ that are free (or almost free) for the institutional user. She covers: building or revitalizing your website with inexpensive template/development approaches (SquareSpace, Wix, Weebly, JimDo, Webnode), regularizing social media outreach (or automating it) through free 3rd party apps and much more.
For 150 years, Arlington National Cemetery has served as a shrine to those who made the ultimate sacrifice. Working directly with ANC’s public affairs staff, Towne Group created a moving video campaign to underscore the importance of the anniversary and all that it represents. Videography and post-production were executed by Towne Group, including field production within the cemetery grounds.
